A while ago, the Minister of Education Dr. Dipu Moni and Deputy Education Minister Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury officially inaugurated the lottery draw program for admission to government schools. There are a total of 11 lakh 22 thousand 94 seats in 3 thousand 846 public and private schools of the country. A total of 8 lakh 73 thousand 792 admission-seeking students have applied against these seats.

There are a total of 1 lakh 18 thousand 101 seats in 658 government schools. Among them, 5 lakh 63 thousand 13 admission-seeking students have applied. Where all the students who applied in merit list will be given opportunity. Apart from this, the 1st waiting list will be published simultaneously, so that those who will not be admitted even after getting a chance in the merit list. In that case, admission will be given from the waiting list.
